About

Geotekne is a space with its own name where I hope to expose ideas and knowledge based on my experience, regarding the use and development of geospatial technology. Trying to be brief (elegant) and with useful and practical content.

You will find material:

practical, without losing the theoretical framework
user friendly, while still thinking about being powerful
product-oriented (as closed as possible), without being a black box
free (open from any point of view) without conditions, otherwise it is not freedom

With a clear goal: to reduce the entry barrier to the use and development of geospatial technology.

The guiding principles of the space should be in line with these concepts:

KISS (keep it simple, stupid)
FOSS principles, GNU manifest, BSD licenses !
Open Source, Open data, Open Knowledge !
Wysiwyg (what you see is what you get), visual because it is the sense of greater bandwidth
